Nie Li Hatred towards her is not really necessary in the grand scheme of things. Technically this version of her is Innocent and Nie Li doesn't even know why she killed his master in the future. For Yuyin she view Nie Li Master has he would view the Demon Lord, so he himself is not much different from Yuyin but have justified reason for revenge and a not necessary evil.

She didn't kill his master in this life, but she's still a terrible person. Treating other students like trash and so full of herself. That was one of the reasons for the whip aside from one for himself and one for his master. Nie Li tried to let things go, but she wouldn't back down on the stairs.

I hadn't really thought about it when I was reading the manhua but watching it now, I wonder if in the original timeline, Yuyin had "killed" Nei Lie's teacher in the same way that teacher "killed" her own teacher. Like that's a part of how that divination get's passed on. And Nei Li missed that bit the first time. Just guesses so I don't really know though.
